A Social Hydrant for Opinions!

The nature of opinion is as diverse as the population of the Universe. Some would say they are like "assholes" and everybody has one! In the past this diversity was acceptable and the right to have one's own opinion was valued and respected.
Not the case anymore: our society has lost touch with having tolerance for any differing viewpoint; and the right to opinion is no longer accompanied by the right to respectfully disagree! You would be doing very well by just remaining silent and walking away!

The Pissing Post

This is exactly how bad opinion prospers and manages to somehow flourish despite the fact it may not be the most popular or even understandable viewpoint.

When people choose to walk away in silence with no rebuttal, it offers advantage to minority perspective.

When it seems the easier path to avoid confrontation and disagreement, it opens the road for opportunism and being exploited.

Disrespect and intimidation are the tools used by people to get what they want! Being left unchallenged just opens the door; and they know that. It is not by accident, out of ignorance, or just bad human nature; it is by premeditated plan to get what they desire!

So I will thoughtfully respect your right to hold opinion. I have bold hopes you will do the same in return.

And for the rest of you who believe  that "it is my way or the highway"

Please piss off and take your opinion someplace else because you are killing my grass!

  2. People carry a lot of individual burdens that influence their development as human beings. Those burdens can be deeply ingrained and difficult to manage. No matter who you are if you want a productive, meaningful life you have to set goals and continue towards the desired outcomes. If those goals are regarded as unacceptable by the laws or the norms of our society your life probably just got more complicated. I'm 72 years old and most of my life I have felt that something is missing in me. I don't feel whole. Maybe it is my continued doubt about myself and who I really am that makes me feel like I'm unworthy. I gave up on religion a long time ago. My ideals are based on what I believe to be right or wrong. Of course that is based on the last 72 years and the things that I've learned along the way. I sometimes ask myself do I obey the laws ( rules ) because it is the right thing to do or because I would most likely get caught. Does that make me a coward or just human. What kind of world would it be if everyone was capable of doing the right thing? First we have to agree on what that is. It seems a much more difficult task than one would imagine.
